As our employee, we will pay you the pay rate that has been agreed upon with the usual payroll tax withholdings. Return to top HOW LONG ARE THE ASSIGNMENTS? Access Staffings temporary assignments can range from a minimum of 4 hours to assignments that are indefinite in length. Often an assignment can start out short-term and extend to long-term or possibly temp-to-hire. Return to top WHAT TO WEAR? The dress code varies from company to company. As an Access Staffing employee you will be expected to dress in accordance with the companys dress code. At the time you are given an assignment you will be instructed as to the client companys specific attire requirements. If no instructions are available, wear conservative business attire on your first day of work. Return to top WHAT HOURS WILL YOU WORK? When you receive an assignment, you will be told which hours the specific company or department works. Punctuality is extremely important. If, for any reason, you are unable to be on time for your assignment, it is critical that you contact your supervisor directly to make them aware of your situation. Also notify a representative of Access Staffing so we can assist the situation as needed. Return to top HOW WILL YOU BE PAID? Payday is Friday following the week you work. Timecards are due in Access Staffing Services office by 5:00pm Tuesday following the week you work. If the timecard is received before the 5:00 pm Tuesday deadline, a check will mailed to you no later than 12:00 noon on Friday following the workweek. If you wish to pick up your paycheck, please contact an Access Staffing Services representative to make this arrangement. Return to top DOES A TEMPORARY ASSIGNMENT EVER RESULT IN A REGULAR HIRE? Absolutely! It is quite common for a temporary assignment to result in a regular hire. Each company that you are assigned to should be viewed as a potential employer. Often a temporary employee is offered regular employment by one of our clients in an entirely different capacity than the temporary position to which they were assigned. If you are interested in a regular position with a company that Access Staffing has referred you to, let an Access representative know that you are interested. Never approach the company yourself. While you are waiting for an assignment its important to stay in contact with us. Plan on checking in weekly via email or telephone with your availability. Return to top WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU NEED TO INTERVIEW WHILE ON A TEMPORARY ASSIGNMENT? Most companies will understand how important an interview is to you. But, its important to understand that the reason you are there is because the company really needs someone in your position. Schedule your interview before work, after work or on your lunch hour. Let your supervisor know that you have an interview and be certain that you communicate that youll try to be back on time.
